The following is a bulletin from the Bromley Park Community Association:
Bulletin for our Home & Condo Owner Members
After weeks of deliberation and consultation with county health officials and our attorneys - as well as soul-searching on the part of the Boards of Directors - the board has unanimously decided to not open the community pool for the 2020 season. Unfortunately, there are no scenarios that work which would allow us to open the pool and protect our home and condo owners from liability due to COVID-19. We have explored every option, including waivers, pool attendants, spacing, and many others. Every option we explored created a situation where we expose ourselves to liability and risk that is beyond the level we can afford as a community.
We on the board are just as sad as the rest of the community, and hope that we are able to resume pool service next spring.
Thank you for understanding and for your patience and flexibility as we worked through this. We appreciate the passion and enthusiasm that everyone in our community brings to the table, and look forward to more home and condo owner participating and volunteering for board positions.
BP Community Association Board
The Bromley Park playground is open as of June 8th. However, the pool remains closed. The Bromley Park Community Association is having ongoing discussions about a possible opening. Updates will posted on this website as soon as they become available.

At the 2015 Bromley Park Condominiums annual meeting, Bromley Park homeowner, Satish Ramade, gave a short presentation on the routine activities of the Bromley Park Neighborhood Watch program. The program consists of evening patrols in marked vehicles by volunteers in the community. The two-person team patrols both the Bromley Park homes and condos and simply observes the community for any suspicious activities. The volunteers do not engage but rather contact local law enforcement to investigate. It is a very passive activity that is part of an overall program to reduce crime in the community.
For more information or to volunteer for an evening patrol, contact Satish Ramade at (248) 470-4862 or sramade@hotmail.com.

The Third Amendment to the Master Deed and Bylaws has passed with 68 "YES" votes (57 needed to pass). The passing of this amendment is excellent news for the association for numerous reasons:
Make it financially feasible for the two vacant lots in Phase 1 to be developed into two buildings with eight total units (four Lagunas and four Barclays).
Potential for nearly $27,000.00 (annually) in dues assessments coming into the association from these additional units once they are built and sold.
More dues coming into the association has the potential to reduce the need to raise dues periodically.
Obtain FHA certification which:
Allows for mortgage options for buyers and sellers.
Shortens the time it takes to sell both existing and new units.
Potential for homes values to rise in the long-term.
Thank you for voting!
Sincerely,
Ken, Jim, Paul, Anne, and Bob - Bromley Park Condominiums Board of Directors

The purpose of the test is to assess the reliability and effectiveness of the EAS as a public alert mechanism. EAS Participants currently participate in state-level monthly tests and local-level weekly tests, but no top-down review of the entire system has ever been undertaken. The Commission, along with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, will use the results of this nationwide test to assess the reliability and effectiveness of the EAS as a public alert mechanism, and will work together with EAS stakeholders to make improvements to the system as appropriate. A message from Sergeant David Archer:
Dear Resident,
The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office will begin utilizing a new service to access important, valuable community information when you need it, using the latest technology. This will replace our current e-mail alert system and will start on February 8, 2011.
Our agency will create and publish messages through the Nixle Community Information Service. Nixle will then deliver this information to you instantly by cell phone text message and/or email. Notifications can also be accessed online at Nixle’s web site at www.nixle.com.
The Nixle system aligns with the Sheriff’s Office Core Strategies of:
Providing Community Leadership
Building Partnerships and Collaborations
Focusing on Service Excellence
The system also aligns with the agencies Core Values of:
Accountability
Openness and Transparency
Example messages may include daily crime summaries as well as other relevant safety and community event information.
The service is reliable and free for our agency to use. There is NO spam and no hidden cost; you receive messages as part of their cell phone text messaging plan. YOU decide what information you want and whether you want it sent to your cell phone, email, or just simply over the web.
Please register now at the company’s main web site: www.nixle.com. There you can also access their Frequently Asked Questions.
We also ask you to forward this email to 5 of your neighbors or friends in the community, encouraging them to register.
New communication forms continue to evolve and we believe this service will allow us to keep you informed in the most convenient, reliable way possible.
Thanks,
Sergeant David Archer
